Health Professional Workforce « IMPH | South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public Health

Goal: Examine provisions within the ACA and current policy frameworks to recommend changes to facilitate use of funds that will be available. Maintain and increase access to all health care providers and support continued improvement of the cultural, clinical, technical and public health competencies of the health professional workforce.

Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured Issue Brief

The Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured has released the issue brief Physician Willingness and Resources to Serve More Medicaid Patients: Perspectives from Primary Care Physicians. According to the Commission, the brief attempts to assess how primary care physicians will respond to the entry of 32 million newly insured people into the health care system under health reform.
